From Design to Market
CONTEXT
At Ikershop, I worked across furniture collections from concept to market launch.
ROLE
Bridging design, production, marketing, logistics and sales
CHALLANGE
How to turn a design idea into a product that makes sense beyond the drawing board.
APPROACH
The process often started before the product itself — through customer needs, sales observations and production realities. A product was never just a form. Every decision affected something else in the system: transport costs, packaging, margins, lead times or manufacturing complexity.
My role was to balance these tensions and translate design intent into something that could realistically work on the market.
RESULT
Collections shaped not only by aesthetics, but by the realities behind them.
Products that could be produced, shipped and sold — not as isolated objects, but as part of a larger ecosystem.
WHAT I LEARNED
Good products are rarely perfect from every perspective. They emerge from compromise between vision, business realities, technical limitations and the people involved in the process.
